01The short version

GlowSite turns a Google Maps listing into a one-page website. To do that we need two things: your email address so you can sign in, and the public information on the listing you paste.

• We use your data to build and host your website. We do not sell it, and we do not put advertising on it.
• Reviews, reviewer names and photos come from the public Google Maps listing — we collect nothing private about your customers.
• A published site is public on purpose: anyone with the link can open it.
• We use no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies of any kind.
• Want your site or your account gone? Email support@glowsite.app and we will remove it.

02What we collect, and why

Four things, and nothing else:

• Your email address. Collected when you sign in with a magic link or with Google. We use it to sign you in, to keep your sites attached to your account, and to reply when you contact us. We never store a password, because there isn't one.
• The public information on the Google Maps listing you paste. Business name, address and area, phone number, website, opening hours, map location, star rating, total number of reviews, the text of the reviews, the display names shown on them, and the photos on the listing. This is what your website is written from.
• The website we generate for you. The headline, the sections, the quotes we picked, the style you chose and any edits you make. We keep the original review data alongside it so you can rebuild your site later from the Settings page.
• How many times your published site was opened. A daily number per site, so you can see whether sharing the link is working. We do not record who the visitor was, where they were, or what device they used.

03One technical thing: your IP address

When you generate a site we count the request against your internet address (your IP), so that a single connection cannot generate an unlimited number of sites in one hour. The address is stored on its own as a counter. It is not attached to your account or to any site, and it is never used to identify you.

These counters are not cleared on a schedule today. If you want yours removed, email us and we will do it.

04Where the reviews and photos come from

Everything about the business comes from its public Google Maps listing — the same page anyone can open in Google Maps. We read it using Apify, a service that collects public Google Maps pages.

Review text and the reviewer's display name are shown as they were published on Google, with the name attached, because the name is what makes a quote trustworthy. We do not collect a reviewer's email address, phone number or Google profile.

Photos are not copied onto our servers. We store the Google link to each photo, and a visitor's browser loads the picture from Google directly.

05The companies that help us run GlowSite

A handful of established services help us run GlowSite. This is the complete list, and what each one receives:

• Supabase — our database and our sign-in system. Holds your email address, your sites, the listing data pulled from Google, and the view counts. Servers in London, United Kingdom.
• Vercel — hosting. Every request to glowsite.app passes through Vercel, so it sees ordinary server-log information such as your IP address and browser.
• Apify — reads the public Google Maps listing. Receives the Maps link you paste.
• Google Gemini — writes your website copy. Receives your business name and category, and the review text with the reviewer names, so it can quote them accurately.
• Google Sign-In — optional. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google confirms who you are and passes us your email address.
• Resend — delivers your sign-in emails. Receives your email address.
• Lemon Squeezy — payments. Publishing is free right now, so nothing has been sent to them. If we start charging, they act as merchant of record: card details go to them and never to us.

06What a visitor's browser loads on a published site

Two parts of a published site come from Google rather than from us: the photos, which load from Google's image servers, and the location map, which is a standard Google Maps embed. So a visitor's browser talks to Google when it opens your site. That is normal for maps and photos, but it is worth knowing.

07Your published site is public by design

When you publish, your site goes live at your-name.glowsite.app and at glowsite.app/s/your-name. Anyone with the link can open it, search engines can index it, and it may appear in our public Examples gallery next to other published sites.

Nothing goes live until you press Publish, and you can unpublish or delete the site at any time from its Settings page.

08Cookies and what we keep in your browser

Three small things, all of them functional. None of them follow you around the internet: there is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker anywhere on GlowSite.

• Sign-in cookies, set by Supabase, so you stay logged in between visits.
• A language cookie (glowsite.locale), plus the same value in your browser's local storage, so the site opens in the language you left it in. It lasts one year.
• On a published site, a small cookie named after that site holds today's date for 24 hours, so one visitor is not counted twice in a day. It contains a date and nothing else.

09How long we keep things

• Your account and your sites: until you delete them, or until you ask us to.
• Deleting a site removes the site, its public link, its generated content and the listing data stored with it.
• Daily view counts are plain numbers with nothing personal in them, and may remain after a site is deleted.
• Rate-limit counters hold an IP address and are overwritten as they are reused, as described above.

10Deleting your site or your account

• One site: open that site's Settings page and use “Delete website”. It is immediate and permanent.
• Your whole account and everything in it: email support@glowsite.app from the address you signed up with. We will action it and confirm, normally within a few working days.
• A site about your business that you did not ask for: email support@glowsite.app with the link and we will take it down.

11Your rights over your data

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. One email to support@glowsite.app is enough — there is no form to fill in.

12Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we update the page and the date at the top of it. If we ever change something that matters — new data collected, or a new company handling it — we will say so plainly here.
